Personalised
learning and Inclusive learning are now ingrained words for new age
learning- teaching. Our endeavor today should be to put these words into
practice. The 21st century learner needs to be adept at
communication in order to collaborate with peers. Critical thinking and
thinking out of the box will become key skills apart from 3 R’s i.e. reading,
writing and arithmetic. Practice of inclusive strategies has a key role in
present day curriculums and the teachers who are participants of CIDTL have
wholeheartedly started practicing these strategies at their workplace.
The International Association for K-12 Online Learning describes "Learner
Profiles as involving capturing the individual skills,
gaps, strengths, weaknesses, interests, and aspirations of each student.
Creating an individual pathway for each student, based on his or her unique
learner profile; continually assessing students' progress against clearly
defined standards and goals helps in creating enriched and personalized
environment. Multiple options and approaches of delivery of instruction to
support student learning and some student control over how they learn have
also been included in the 5 key elements of personalized learning."
