Let's talk about  Learning Management System (LMS). So far we have learnt:

  • How to use LMS to create highest learning (Constructivist, Cooperative and Collaborative learning) with optimum use of the given feature of LMS.
  • How the needs of  different kinds of learners  be addressed by using differnt features of an LMS.

Now that all of you have joined Google Classroom, list the features of Google Classroom that support:

o   Content sharing

§  Types of files that can be uploaded(word, video, images, Gifs etc)

§  Can we share/create content using any other feature of the LMS? If yes,
 Which? And how?

o   Assessment

§  Summative

§  Objective

§  Subjective

Other features as discussed yesterday.

  1. The most commonly used feature in Google Classroom is uploading MCQs and assignments for formative assessment. The Examination admin marks the attendance as this has been used mostly in synchronous mode as of now. I have created student groups and assigned different topics that include tables, pictures and text. Mostly I have uploaded text in jpg form.

  4. Google classrooms key attribute is its user friendliness. We can post content and possibly use the Google forms facility for quiz and MCQs based eveluation. Sharing content easily among participants and even getting their comments is a strong learning facilitation feature.

  8. I created a Google classroom so that I can explore it. As a student I have only joined in using the code send by my teachers, now I created one. Created the class by adding the class name, section, subject, room. Tried to add materials through classwork option. There are 4 sources through which material can be 1. Google Drive 2. Link 3.File 4.YouTube.

Explored the option post which had 4 sub-options
    * post the material on spot
    * schedule (post the material on a fix date and time)
    * save draft (just save the material)
*discard draft (just discard the materials).
